PASSIVHAUS CERTIFICATION, DESIGN AND CONSULTANCY
The Inbuilt Passivhaus service delivers healthy, comfortable, ultra low-energy buildings. Not just new homes and housing refurbishment projects, but also schools, offices, prisons, sports centres, student accommodation and care homes.
Inbuilt is one of a handful of organisations in the UK, and only twenty worldwide, who are approved by the Passivhaus Institut in Germany to certify Passivhaus schemes.
As a leading adviser in the use of the Passivhaus Planning Package (PHPP) we are working on over 90 Passivhaus dwellings in the UK and applying Passivhaus principles to non-domestic buildings and refurbishments. Working with developers, architects and contractors we help you create buildings that:
- Need little or no energy use for heating or cooling
- Have excellent thermal comfort and ventilation
- Have low primary energy use
- Achieve high quality construction standards
We also supplement this design methodology with additional expertise to ensure health, comfort and genuine sustainability are guaranteed:
- An approach is taken which aligns with the Code for Sustainable Homes or BREEAM requirements
- Internal pollutants are minimised ensuring excellent indoor air quality
- Greenhouse gas emissions are reduced in construction and operation
- Overheating risk is minimised through advanced thermal modelling
