Dr David Strong recognised as leader of sustainability in buildings

Dr David Strong, chief executive of Inbuilt, a new RES Group company
that specialises in sustainable buildings, was presented with the Sustainability
Leadership Award at Building magazine’s recent Sustainability Awards 2007.
The judges said: “David Strong has had a phenomenal 2007, emerging as one of the
most influential figures in the drive to make the industry sustainable.”
Dr David Strong joined RES Group in June 2007 to lead its new company Inbuilt,
which has been established to provide technical and consulting excellence
associated with the research, design and delivery of sustainable built environments.
The company, which has already recruited an executive team of highly regarded
individuals in the sector and more than a dozen specialist consultants, will be formally launched next month.
Dr Ian Mays, Chief Executive of the RES Group, said: “When we decided to establish
Inbuilt, we wanted to find the very best person in the industry to take the company
forward. This richly deserved award demonstrates that we found our man and I offer
him my warmest congratulations. We look forward to the launch of Inbuilt next
month, and to David’s leadership of this important new venture.”
Building Magazine’s 2007 Sustainability Awards were held at the Hilton Hotel, Park
Lane, central London on 19 November 2007. Comedian and author Clive Anderson presented the awards in front of a crowd of 700 industry professionals.
