An industry-leading privately owned waste processing plant in the Midlands appointed Inbuilt to help it become a zero carbon business.
Due to the considerable operational energy demand of the business, we assessed the detailed feasibility, design and planning of a 4MW wind turbine scheme. This will generate income of about £1m a year for our client, a large proportion of the company’s electricity bill, and more than 12GWh of clean, green electricity every year for the next 25 years.
The site is highly constrained and surrounded by sensitive environmental habitats. We brought together a large interdisciplinary team to work through all the complexities, optimising turbine yield while also mitigating any potential impacts to statutory and local stakeholders. This work has helped our client to reduce risk and achieve the most advantageous outcomes.
Thanks to Inbuilt’s partnership with RES, our client had a direct link to the UK’s most extensive experience in the feasibility, development and construction of large wind projects and on-site renewable generation.
